Book Review: The Wild Robot

Agastya Dubey, PYP 4, Victorious Kids Educares, Kharadi, Pune

Honestly, I never thought that I’d read the whole series, this was just an assignment from school, but it turns out that it’s very interesting, which led me to get the whole series. There are 3 books in the series: The Wild Robot, The Wild Robot Escapes and The Wild Robot Protects. I would like to give respect to the author and publisher Peter Brown and The New York Times. So, in the first book of this New York Times Bestselling series, it’s all about home, as Roz [The Wild Robot] or ROZZUM unit 7124 is lucky as she doesn’t explode when a carrier ship sinks. In the second, Roz is sent to the mainland to act as a robot that helps in farming and escapes her new life. In the last but hopefully not least book a mysterious pollution, the poison tide appears; to save her home, she goes to find the ancient shark to stop the poison tide. Our robot has a very big list of things she has done, that no other robot has: survived a shipwreck, learnt the language of the animals, adopted a gosling and so much more! People who like the self-help genre would definitely love this, even if you don’t it’s just perfect book for you. If me, a non-fiction lover could be so interested in the series, so can you!
