A higher primary school located at Moodambail, Karnataka, has decided to set up a butterfly park on its campus. Earlier in the year, 22 students from class 6 to 8 participated in a caterpillar-rearing project that was arranged by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) called iNaturewatch Foundation. The school stood first after rearing 52 caterpillars that turned into butterflies or moths. The foundation will now assist the school in setting up a butterfly park on the school’s premises.
