Early in the morning, when most of the world is still asleep, something magical happens by the lake. The sky is dark at first, with just a few stars still twinkling. Slowly, a soft light begins to rise in the east. The sun is waking up, and the calm lake is the perfect place to watch it. The water is very still, like a giant mirror. It reflects the colors of the sky – soft pinks, oranges, and yellows That slowly grow brighter. There are no boats or swimmers yet, so the surface of the lake is smooth and peaceful. It feels like the lake is holding its breath, waiting for the day to begin. Tiny ripples up here as a gentle breeze moves across the water. Birds start to sing from the trees around the lake, welcoming the morning. A duck glides quietly across the water, leaving a trail behind. Sometimes a fish jumps, making a little splash that breaks the silence for just a moment. The sun is higher, turning the whole lake golden. Trees along the shore are covered in the morning light, and the reflections dance on the water. The air is fresh and cool, and everything feels common new. It’s a perfect time to sit and think, or just enjoy the beauty of nature. As the sun shines brighter, the lake begins to wake up. More birds fly overhead, and people may start to appear for fishing or kayaking. But for a little while, during sunrise, the lake is quiet and full of peace. Watching the calm lake at sunrise reminds us to slow down and enjoy the simple things. It’s a peaceful moment that makes the start of the day feel special. And as I sit by the lake my soul feels the same serenity as we feel by seeing the lake.
