A team of scientists headed by the University of Cambridge, UK, has created a sensitive device that enables people who have suffered a stroke to communicate. The device, called ‘Revoice’, is a choker that is designed to detect throat vibrations when the wearer mouths words. It also records the heart rate of the wearer. This data is then interpreted with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), allowing patients to express themselves fluently. This device interprets emo tional signals and speech signals, offering a practical solution to communication challenges. It eliminates the need for brain implants.
