Researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China have developed contact lenses that enable wearers to detect infrared light and visible light. The lenses allow users to see beyond normal human vision, making it possible to see with their eyes closed and in darkness. These lenses use special nanoparticles and polymers from standard contact lenses and can function without a power source. This technology can be employed in various fields, including rescue operations and in environmental conditions that decrease visibility such as fog.
