Easy Bhel

Bhel is one of the most delicious and popular Indian street foods. It is a sweet, tangy and crunchy snack that is enjoyed by people of all ages. This simple bhel recipe makes for a quick, tasty and healthy evening snack.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato, boiled
  • 100 grams kurmura (puffed rice)
  • 25 grams sev
  • 10 papdis (fried flat pooris)
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chutney
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ cup coriander, chopped
  • Salt, pepper and red chilli powder to taste

METHOD 

  • Ask an adult to help you chop the tomato, onion and boiled potato.
  • Add the kurmura to a bowl. Add the sev and a few broken papdis to it.
  • Add the chopped tomato, onion and potato.
  • Add a pinch of salt, pepper and red chilli powder to the mixture.
  • Add both the chutneys and mix well.
  • Squeeze half a lemon over it.
  • Mix all the ingredients and garnish with coriander and papdis. Your bhel is ready!
