A bandage that speeds healing by 30% has been innovated by scientists at Northwestern University, USA. This cost-effective, stretchable and flexible bandage can heal wounds by delivering electrotherapy right to the wound site.
The e-bandage assesses the wound’s healing process actively and then dissolves into the body after the healing is complete, without destroying any tissue. This new innovation will be beneficial for people who suffer from diabetes. It will help accelerate the healing of their ulcers or wounds before further complications arise.
