Aerospace company Skyroot Aerospace has introduced a new fellowship programme that aims to encourage women who are interested in a career in the space industry. Named Kalpana Fellowship after late astronaut Kalpana Chawla, this programme aims to provide students with mentorship from industry experts, experiential learning opportunities and many other facilities in an attempt to enhance women’s contributions to the space industry. Students who have recently graduated or are in the final year of relevant engineering fields are eligible to apply for the fellowship, which is expected to start in July.
