Haryana’s chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the introduction of a new scheme called the Chatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana, which will provide free transportation to students living in Haryana’s villages. Under this scheme, villages that have over 30 students attending distant schools will be provided with free bus and minibus services by Haryana’s transport department. Villages with less than 10 students attending far-off schools will receive help from the education department. The scheme has been implemented in Ratangarh village in Karnal district and will eventually be implemented throughout Haryana.
