Hanging Paper Fish

Make this cool hanging fish to decorate your room with.

MATERIALS

  • Blue, white and pink chart paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pen

METHOD

  • Fold a big square blue sheet of chart paper into a triangle. Open it and fold the 2 corners towards the centre line as shown. It will now look like a kite.
  • Open the folds and fold the paper back into the original triangle. Cut small slits from the centre till the lines created as shown in the picture.
  • Apply glue on the 2 sides and stick them together. You will get a cone-shaped figure for the body of the fish.
  • Cut the top pointy edge into an oval shape for the head.
  • Stick a pink heart-shaped piece of chart paper on the pointy end of the body for the tail.
  • Stick pink leaf-shaped pieces of paper on both sides of the body for fins.
  • Stick 2 small white circles on the head for the eyes and colour them in using a pen.
  • Stick an oval-shaped pink piece of paper under the head for the mouth.
  • Attach a thin strip of paper or a thread on the fish for it to hang. Your hanging fish is ready!
