How to Write a Limerick

A limerick is a humorous five-line poem that tells a quick story in rhyme. This form of poetry was popularised by the famous British poet Edward Lear. Limericks are usually nonsense rhymes—they don’t have to make complete sense but they have to rhyme correctly.
