An Indian golfer named Diksha Dagar emerged victorious at the Deaflympics 2025, bagging a gold for the second time at the international event for deaf athletes. The 24-year-old defended her 2021 gold, finishing with an 11-under at the event held in Tokyo, Japan. She triumphed by a significant margin in the women’s individual strokeplay event ahead of France’s Margaux Brejo, who secured the silver. Dagar, who had also clinched a silver medal at the 2017 Deaflympics, was part of the Asian Games in 2018. She also participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
