Children studying in classes 1 to 3 in Uttar Pradesh’s government schools will be hono-ured in a ceremony called Nipun Samman. Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd) trainees will visit schools designated to them and assess students with the help of the Nipun Lakshya application. Students who meet the proficiency targets of their class in mathematics and Hindi will be awarded a badge at the ceremony in the presence of dignitaries and parents. Through this initiative, the state government hopes to improve the quality of education in schools and better the relationship between the community and schools.
