My Old Shoes

Aarav Trivedi, Class 8, Global Indian International School, Abu Dhabi

I have a shoe rack, that is old and neat,
With a pair of shoes, sad walking through the streets.
They’ve walked many miles, with me in the darkness and light.
The laces and the soles have worn out so thin.
The memories I have with them are so deep in.
They share a moment of dance, songs, and races everywhere.
My old shoes are leaving their marks.
They have climbed up the stairs and walked through the lanes.
They have always stood by my side in all the shades.
Yes, they look so tired and dull, but they are still in my rack with pride.
They have a special place in my shoe rack and will always have.
Reminding me of each stage they have accompanied me and together we have been through.
