IIT Professor Elected to US National Academy of Engineering

RI Sujith, a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, is among 18 international members who have been elected to the United States National Academy of Engineering.

RI Sujith, a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, is among 18 international members who have been elected to the United States National Academy of Engineering (NAE). He is the second Indian to be elected to the NAE’s aerospace division after aerospace scientist Dr Byrana Nagappa Suresh. Sujith is the recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and has authored a book on thermoacoustic instability. He completed his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 1988 from IIT, Madras, and went on to further acquire a Master of Science degree. He obtained his PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.
