Nature’s Downfall

Saakshi Saxena, Class 4, Nahar International School, Mumbai

Nature is wonderful,
With flowers so beautiful.
The sun shines bright,
The birds take flight.
Surrounded by green trees,
With a calm, soft breeze.
With thundering waterfalls,
And autumn leaves that fall.
Hear the birds chirp chee chee,
Hear their voices full of glee.
With butterflies fluttering round,
Nature has secrets still not found.
But the time will come when nature gives up,
All the ponds and lakes dry up.
The once beautiful vegetation,
Will turn to the towers and train stations.
The least now that we can do,
It is to be one of quite a few.
Who saves the Earth, who saves the trees?
And responds to nature,
Hears its ‘Please’.
