  • Pokhara is a city located in Nepal’s Gandaki Province and is well-known for its culture, scenic beauty and adventure activities such as ziplining, paragliding and trekking. 
  • The announcement that the city has been recognised as the country’s tourism capital was made at an event organised at Barahi Ghat in Pokhara, after the city fulfilled the criteria required by the government. 
  • The decision is expected to attract more tourists to Nepal and enhance the country’s tourism and economy.
