Six-year-old Om Madan Garg became the youngest Singaporean to complete the Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal. Om commenced the 65km-long, 10-day trek on September 28 along with his parents and reached South Base Camp in Nepal, which is located at a height of 5,364mts, on October 7. Recently, the Singapore Book of Records recognised Om for his accomplishment. Om is a student at Canossaville Preschool in Singapore.
