Global architectural design company Populous has unveiled the design of Qiddiya City Esports Arena, a new sports arena, which is expected to be an important part of Saudi Arabia’s mega entertainment project, Qiddiya. The arena will have six separate segments and an exterior with attractive neon lighting. The 5,155-seat arena will feature 4D haptic technology, which will allow visitors to smell, feel and sense the gaming environment, creating a realistic experience. The arena will cover around 39,000sq ft and will also include a digital chandelier. Numerous national and international esports (electronic sports) tournaments will be hosted at the venue.
