Rain Drop

Navira Mohanraj, Class 4, Mahindra World School, Chengalpattu

Born in a dark grey cloud,
The crystal tear of mighty palace above ;
Has a reflection which says, “proud “
When it’s merged with light it makes a rainbow’s happy dove;
It falls in a second,
But it feels like eternity;
For when it rains it feels like a command,
Given by the clouds to flood the land;
Sometimes it’s a sign of greenery,
Other times Mother Nature is crazy,
Or a poisonous evaporation from a factory;
Above the clouds are mystery.
How does water fall from there?
The clouds are grey! Water is blue.
That’s not fair I declare!
Oceans above skies, not a clue!
Oh! Little rain drop where are you from?
I suppose it’s from the place I stand,
Into the unknown,
Above all land!
