Rishi Sunak has been sworn in as the United Kingdom’s new prime minister; he is the first British Asian prime minister of the UK. Sunak’s parents are of Indian descent and he came to the UK from East Africa. He went to Winchester College before studying philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford University, UK, and business at Stanford University, USA. Sunak’s wife, Akshata Murty is the daughter of Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys. The couple has many properties across the UK and an estimated combined wealth of £730 million. Sunak is the eldest of three siblings. His sister, Raakhi Williams, works in New York as chief of strategy and planning at the United Nations global fund for education in emergencies.
