Rome Was Not Built in a Day

Nabhya Dubey, Class 8, Udayachal High School, Mumbai

The ancient Roman Empire is considered to as a very beautiful and great symbol of history. This city is famous for its architectural significance. It consists of many historic monuments and structures. People come from abroad to visit Rome, often referred to as ‘ The city of seven Hills’ due to its geographical location and ‘ The eternal city’ meaning ‘ The city that never dies’ or ‘ The city that will exist forever’.

However, this ancient Roman Empire was not created in a few days or months. It took pains of 5-10 Million slaves for more than 122 decades to build this magnificent Roman Empire.

This shows that one individual cannot hope to achieve anything great within a day. One must always remember that great success comes gradually through continuous dedication, hard work, patience and determination.
