Shadow

Shadow, the reflection which is always there,
behind, yet never missed.
It follows close through dark and day,
and never, ever walks away.
Yes, it’s always there by me,
either ahead of me or behind my back,
supporting me through every track..
Shadows, they are with people
when no one else is,
The true reflection of people,
I’m sure it is.
Shadows are different every time,
it depends on the object and the source of light.
Yet they whisper, that truth can’t stay the same,
for each angle gives birth to a different sight.
And so, I walk with my shadow behind,
changing form with every twisted turn I take.
Perhaps it’s not the darkness I fear,
but the flickering truths I face.
