‘Skater Girl’ is an emotional story about a girl from a village in Rajasthan who must fight against social and parental pressures to take up an unusual sport that she develops a passion for—skateboarding. The movie captures how the sport enriches children’s lives, empowers them and adds many moments of laughter and adventure to their otherwise stereo-typical village life. The most amazing relationship in the movie is that of the protagonist Prerna and her younger brother Ankush, who plays a major role in helping Prerna participate in the National Skateboarding Championships. This is a great movie for the full family and an absolute must-watch!
