Researchers at the University of Bristol, UK, conducted a study on happiness and found that human beings can learn to be happy. In a course called ‘Science of Happiness’ launched by the university, students were taught different techniques and habits to be happy such as journalling, exercising and practising gratitude. The study found that only the students who consistently practised the habits for years experienced mental well-being in the long term.
