If you’ve ever had to give a presentation, you might have experienced stage fright. We tell you how to turn your ‘stage fright’ into ‘stage brilliance’.

  • Master your topic: Know your topic inside out. Expanding your knowledge will boost your confidence when presenting. Remember, you’re the expert!
  • Gather cool facts: Find interesting details that will make your presentation memorable. The cooler your facts, the more your audience will love it.
  • Create an incredible deck: Make your slides/ paper pop with colour, short bullet points and large text. Show, don’t just tell.
  • Rehearse like a pro: Stand in front of a mirror or gather a few family members and practise. Don’t stress over a mistake. The idea is to get comfortable with your material.
  • Enhance your delivery: Pay attention to your eye contact, voice and body language. Make sure you speak loudly and clearly so everyone in the audience hears you. Stay relaxed and engage with your audience by making eye contact with them and moving around.
  • Own the stage: Walk up with confidence, smile and enjoy the experience. Don’t rush through it; pause between points. If you feel nervous, keep in mind that people are rooting for you!
