- The Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) 2026 took place on January 18 and saw the participation of more than 69,000 people, including children and the elderly. This was the 21st edition of the marathon and included both Indian and international runners.
- Mumbai’s Coastal Road was added as part of the marathon route. The event comprised different categories, including a half marathon, full marathon, elite participation and a senior citizens’ run.
- Ethiopia’s Yeshi Chekole and Tadu Abate won in the overall elite women’s and overall elite men’s categories, respectively.
- Sanjivani Jadhav won in the Indian elite women’s category, while Kartik Karkera triumphed in the Indian elite men’s category.
