Once upon a time, there were four best friends named David, Meera, Lyla, and Yuvan. They did everything
together—playing games, laughing, and having fun in the big playground near their homes. They lived in a beautiful
city in India- Bengaluru, often called the “Garden City of India”. They all were of similar ages- David was 7 years
old, Meera was 9 years old, and Lyla and Yuvan both were 8 years old. They used to play together every day.
One day, a new girl named Mila moved into their town. Mila was an 8-year-old, shy girl. She didn’t know how to
make friends, and she was scared to talk to new people.
When David, Meera, Lyla, and Yuvan saw Mila sitting alone, they went to talk to her. But Mila got nervous and ran back home. The next day, the four friends tried again. They smiled and said, “We just want to be your friend!” But Mila still said, “No!” and ran away again.
Even then, the friends didn’t give up. They were kind and patient. After a few days, Mila finally smiled and said,
“Okay… I’ll be your friend!” From that day on, all five kids became great friends and played together every day.
One evening, they were chatting about what they liked the most.
David said, “I love building with lego!”
Yuvan said, “I love playing football!”
Lyla said, “I enjoy doing art and crafts!”
Mila said, “I also like doing art and crafts!”
Meera said, “I like doing math and I love science!”
Meera got excited and said, “Let’s all go to the science room and do some cool experiments!” Everyone cheered,
“Yay! Let’s go!”
Meera had a secret science room. She asked everyone to follow her. She started climbing a tree. When they
reached the top of the tree, Meera pressed a button and they all stared at the tree transforming into a science
room. The room was very colorful and in the science room, they saw awesome things—colorful chemicals, tiny germs under a microscope, a rainbow light and even experimented on why we shouldn’t use very dark pencils. It was so cool!
Everyone was so happy and enjoyed doing all the experiments.
Suddenly, the sky turned dark. The wind blew hard, and dust flew everywhere. Then whoosh! A giant spaceship landed nearby! Out came some very strange aliens. They looked like giant pigs, half green and half blue. They all had 2 arms with 3 fingers each!
The aliens spoke a weird language and were pushing the trees and breaking them.
The aliens started walking toward the kids. The aliens tried to catch the kids. The friends were scared. But brave Mila stood in front of them and shouted, “Go away! Don’t hurt my friends! and don’t dare to come back again.”
Aliens were surprised to see a girl shouting at them. But then one alien laughed and said, “Who will stop us? You?”
Another alien said, “Who will listen to you, little girl, you just think that you can save the world and your friends
with your words?” The third alien said, “Let’s catch them!” and then they all started walking towards the kids once
again.
Mila again said, “Don’t dare to hurt my friends! You don’t know what we can do with Friends Power”. And then
the three aliens looked at each other and stood still for some time.
Mila told her friends, “Quick! Let’s hide in the science room and make a plan!”
Inside, Meera grabbed some colorful chemicals and quickly made a magic potion. Lyla drew a big picture of the five friends and made it into a huge cardboard cutout. They all hid behind it.
When the aliens came near, each friend held a small bottle of magic potion. When the aliens got close—splash!
They threw the potion!
The aliens screamed, “Aah! It burns!” They ran back to their spaceship and zoomed into the sky.
From that day on, the aliens never came back. They told every alien in the galaxy, “Don’t go to Earth! There are
five brave kids with magic powers!”
Thanks to Mila’s courage, Meera’s brain, Lyla’s art, Yuvan’s speed, and David’s clever ideas, the Earth was safe!
And the five friends? They kept playing, learning, and laughing—happily ever after.
From that day onwards, Mila understood that she should make lots of friends, and she was not shy anymore.
