As the leaves turn brown,
It looks as if the city has worn a new crown,
a new reign that awaits us,

As the spring came around,
It felt like a new phase had been found,
like the green had rebound,

As the cold bounced back,
It seemed like the weather was ready
for attack after another set back,

As the summer showed the sun again,
It had yet come back to teach us to refrain the pain,

As I saw the beauty of nature,
I felt like meeting a new saviour,
