World’s Fastest Internet

The fastest internet in the world that can transfer data at a rate of 1.2 terabits (Tb) per second has been introduced by China.

The fastest internet in the world that can transfer data at a rate of 1.2 terabits (Tb) per second has been introduced by China. The optic fibre cable of the internet network extends for approximately 3,000kms linking Beijing, Wuhan and Guangzhou. The network is around 10 times faster than most major internet routes in the world and can transfer 150 high-definition films per second. The new backbone network was developed by China Education and Research Network (CERNET), Huawei Technologies, China Mobile and Tsinghua University and is expected to lay the foundation for the development of faster internet systems in the coming years.
