So you’ll find me at the shore
Where my toes are touching the waves
That hugs my feet,
and then shyly run away
You’ll find me at the ocean,
as it’s silent waves hold me
And grasp me so tightly,
but so softly
I’m breathing,
but it’s suffocating.
It’s hard to hold on.
But I’m not drowning
The waves, they pull me inside,
and then they show me
The ray of sunshine that lights them up,
that falls on their top
So gently, it’s beautiful
The sun starts to set,
and the waves turn wild
They tell me that even though,
the morning shows that everything is fine
The evening is their mirror,
that shows how they’ve been hurting
And that it’s getting a little heavy,
the waves fight with me and hit me,
jump across me
And throw me out of the ocean,
now the waves touch my feet
Prick my toes,
they walk away,
they are not shy
They don’t want me,
they tell me they loved me
But now
They walk away
