A girl named Rebecca Young from Glasgow, Scotland, has invented a product that protects the homeless from severe cold. Rebecca has invented a backpack that functions using solar energy. The backpack comprises an electric blanket. The product uses solar energy derived through solar panels during the daytime and this energy is stored in batteries to keep people warm at night. Rebecca was around 11 when she thought of the concept. Her effective and considerate idea earned her recognition in Time Magazine’s ‘Girls of the Year 2025’ list.
