Arishka Laddha created history by becoming the youngest Indian girl to scale Mount Everest Base Camp. The six-year-old climbed the base camp that is situated at a height of over 17,500ft along with her mother Dimple Laddha. The Laddhas went on a 15-day expedition, covering a distance of 130kms in temperatures ranging between -3 and -17˚C. Arishka, a resident of Kothrud in Pune, wore eight layers of clothing to protect herself from these harsh weather conditions. She aspires to climb Mount Everest in the future.
