Ukraine Appoints New Prime Minister

Yulia Svyrydenko, who held the position of Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister and economy minister, has taken charge as Ukraine’s new prime minister.

Yulia Svyrydenko, who held the position of Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister and economy minister, has taken charge as Ukraine’s new prime minister. This appointment has taken place as part of a cabinet reshuffle, aiming to strengthen Ukraine’s political, economic and defence capabilities. With this appointment, Svyrydenko follows Yulia Tymoshenko as the country’s second female prime minister. In her new role, Svyrydenko is expected to contribute to strengthening the country in the midst of its ongoing war with Russia. She has previously contributed significantly to the country’s defence sector, shaped its economy and fostered international relationships.
