Hardworking Pays Off

Riyanshi Sinha, Class 6, Somerville School, Greater Noida

Once in the countryside, in a small village, lived a poor family. They had a son named Raju. He was interested in studies rather than sports and activities. He wants to pursue his life as an IPS officer. His father runs a business of tea stall. The villagers always laughed at them. But Raju and his father didn’t pay attention to what they said and focused on their work. By the age of 18 and 19, he began preparing for exams. He spends his whole day studying, a total of 20 hours. He gave very little time for eating, bathing and other small chores. The very next day was the exam, he gave the exam with all his courage, but when the results were declared, he didn’t pass. But still he didn’t give up, he trusted that by patience, hardwork and mindset we can achieve anything. He started preparing for it once more and gave the exam and when the results came out, he was filled with rejoice and passed. That was the day when all his patience and hardwork showed results. His parents were very proud of him. And today, the villagers who teased them are praising him for his dedication towards becoming an IPS officer.
Moral- Patience, Hardwork and trusting in ourselves is the key to success in our life.
