Being Seen vs Being Understood

Ashmi Gaikwad, Class 11, Shantiniketan Jr. College, Kolhapur

In a crowded room, I wave hello,
Eyes meet briefly, but do they really know?
To be seen is a moment, a glance in the fray,
Yet being understood brings the shadows to play.
It’s not just the looks or the words we share,
But the silent whispers and the burdens we bear.
Recognition is fleeting, a spark in the night,
While understanding wraps us in warmth and light.
So let’s dive deeper, break down the walls,
For to be truly known is the greatest call.
