

The Indian government has collaborated with the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to distribute nearly 10 lakh footballs to schools all around India to encourage the sport in the country.
The Indian government has collaborated with the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to distribute nearly 10 lakh footballs to schools all around India to encourage the sport in the country. This effort, executed under the Football for Schools (F4S) programme of FIFA, also aims to instil sportspersonship in children and motivate them to stay active. The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), along with assistance from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF), is executing the programme in the country. Through F4S, FIFA wishes to introduce football to students as part of their education.
