- To elevate India’s position in the automotive sector, the Automotive Mission Plan 2047 has been introduced by the Government of India.
- Supporting the aspirations of the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ initiative, the plan intends to boost automotive exports, prioritise quality, promote electric transportation and drive innovation.
- Specialists from various domains, including the academic sector and government bodies, are working together as part of seven sub-committees to craft the plan.
- The plan advances the work of the Automotive Mission Plan 2016-2026 and involves numerous benchmarks to be acquired over time. It is expected to accelerate development across various sections of the Indian automotive sector.
