A student named Matteo Paz from California, USA, has amazed numerous space experts with his extraordinary space discoveries. With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), Matteo was able to find 1.5 million astronomical objects that hadn’t been detected before, reflecting how a fresh idea can lead to extraordinary results. Matteo studied data obtained from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Near-Earth Object Wide-Field In frared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) mission, which is decommissioned, using a distinct technique. Matteo developed his own machine learning algorithm to re-examine the mission’s data, resulting in the discovery of undetected astronomical wonders. Matteo’s effort was part of a project at Planet Finder Academy, a body associated with California Institute of Technology (Caltech), USA, and received recognition from the director of NASA, Jared Isaacman.
