Aarya Bhatia, a class 8 student at Ramniwas Bajaj English High School, Mumbai, won a bronze medal in the 200mt-freestyle swimming relay event while representing Maharashtra in the 12- to 14-year girls’ category at the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships 2022 held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She also secured first place in the 200mt-freestyle and 400mt-freestyle swimming events in the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) National Sports and Games 2022 competition at the regional level. Aarya began swimming at the age of eight years and has participated in numerous interschool, interclub and inter-district swimming events.
