Albania has set a new benchmark with the appointment of an artificial intelligence (AI) bot as one of the country’s cabinet ministers. The AI bot, named Diella, will be in charge of public procurement and is expected to efficiently evaluate tenders. Her appointment is expected to decrease corruption in the public procurement field, which has experienced dishonest practices. Since January, Diella has been assisting users through the e-Albania platform, serving as a digital assistant.
