The book sheds light on human nature and life’s challenges. 51-year-old Szalay is the first Hungarian-British recipient of the award. His book titled ‘All That Man Is’ had earned a nomination for the 2016 Booker Prize. The book also earned the Plimpton Prize for Fiction and the Gordon Burn Prize. Szalay, who was born in Canada, is famous for his fiction writings, including ‘The Innocent’. The author’s writings have been translated into numerous languages.
