To encourage English in schools, all government schools in Delhi have been instructed to set up English medium sections till class 12. In these sections, apart from regional languages, the medium of instruction will be English for all subjects. According to this directive by the Directorate of Education (DoE) of the Delhi government, a minimum of one section of each class will have to be English medium. This initiative is being executed from the 2025-2026 academic year and is expected to enhance students’ educational opportunities in the future.
