Division of a Number by 4

To divide an even number by 4, reduce the number to half twice. Remember, this works only if the number you obtain after reducing the original number to half the first time is even.

For example: Let’s take 56. Reduce 56 to half. We get 28. Now, reduce 28 to half. We get 14. The answer is 14. So, 56 ÷ 4 = 14 Try these at home: 200 ÷ 4 = _____96 ÷ 4 = _____72 ÷ 4 = _____ Bookmark(0) Click Category to Bookmark
