Scientists at the Jiaotong University of Chengdu, China, have tested a car that uses magnetic elevation technology to operate. This 2.8-tonne car levitated 35mm above the surface of the road during the test. It operates with the help of an electromagnetic force and is guided by conducting rails that are pre-installed. Scientists believe that adopting this technology could reduce the energy vehicles consume.
