Fox Wedding

Nihal Ibraheem, Class 6, Amlps, Vengara

One morning in the forest,
something unusual unfolded.
Foxes were all over,
their orange fur shining in the sunlight.

The bride looked shy,
and she had to walk through the grass.
Her tail was fluffy and clean.
The groom waited for her under the big old tree.

On the branches, birds remained seated
Watching, in attentive silence.
There was a rabbit that peeked out from behind a bush.
Even the winds were withholding their breaths.

At that moment, a rainbow appeared.
Raindrops glistened upon the leaves.
The two foxes softly touched their noses to each other,
And the crowds went into a cheering frenzy, louder or softer, in their own sort of language.

It was like a fairy tale.
I still wish to see another fox weds.
