In the Forbes 2022 list of richest individuals, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers has been listed as the richest woman in the world. The 68-year-old French citizen is the granddaughter of chemist Eugene Paul Louis Schueller, the founder of L’Oreal. L’Oreal is one of the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty companies. Bettencourt Meyers is the vice-chairwoman of the company. Worth an estimated $74.8 billion, Meyers is an estimated $1.2 billion richer than what she was last year. She is currently the 14th richest person in the world. She and her family own 33% of L’Oreal’s stock.
