The drums resound, the conches sing,
“O Bappa, welcome, remover of cling.”
Clay-born Lord with eyes so bright,
You fill our homes with love and light.
Crown of gold, a gentle smile,
Guiding hearts through every trial.
Modaks sweet, lamps that glow,
Through your grace, our spirits grow.
From tiny lanes to oceans wide,
Chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya rise.
Elephant-headed, wise and true,
We bow our heads in thanks to you.
When you depart, our eyes may weep,
Yet in our souls, your blessings keep.
For every ending plants the seed,
Of faith, of hope, of every need.
