Greenwood High International School, Bengaluru, served as host for the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) National Chess Championship 2025 on September 22. The event comprised over 500 players, officials and coaches from various parts of India. Woman International Master Saritha Reddy was present at the event as the chief guest. The event was graced by numerous other dignitaries and comprised yoga, dance performances and other cultural shows by the students of Greenwood High International School as part of its inaugural ceremony. The managing trustee of Greenwood High International School, Niru Agarwal, underscored the importance of such programmes in the lives of students. She emphasised their role in nurturing talent and fostering strategic thinking among students. The event ended with a spirit of friendship, highlighting chess’ contribution to intellectual development.
