National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scientists have revealed that they found a rock sample on Mars showing signs of the potential presence of life on the Red Planet in ancient times. The rock was sourced from the Jezero Crater on Mars by the Perseverance Rover in 2024. According to scientists, the characteristics of the rock, including the presence of minerals such as greigite and vivianite, indicate microbial impact. According to scientists, though these clues indicate potential life on Mars, more research will be required to confirm the existence of life. They are now considering transporting more Mars rock samples to Earth for examination.
